doctors note type thing. my friend used it on his mr2. 5 % all around. when and if he got pulled he would show the note and not get a ticket.

Ya i had heard a few things also that it's some kind of note from an optometrist concerning sensitivity to light or some bullshit like that, although it doesn't seem worth it to me to have forged papers just for window tint. I'd just have a bad feeling that it was going to come back and fuck me sooner or later.

Bet he's not. Get prescription sunglasses would be my answer too if I was a judge.

Sounds like the right answer b/c tint is practically permanent. Most ppl dont need dark (illegal) tint at night - I would assume. But with sunglasses you can atleast take them off at night and allow cops or whoever to safely see whats going on in ur car.

Go to the DMV to get a form, or you can do it online but cant remember how to find it on their website. See you eye doctor and get checked for "light sensitivity." If you have it, have them fill out that form. Just because you get approved....doesnt mean you can throw mirror tints on your car, or something outrageous. I think it allows you to go 35% all around and 50% in the front windshield.
