Default Tickets and Legal advice........

As much as I enjoy the Darwinian style stories on here I'm getting sick of the same thread from 500 different people each and everyday.

VAdriven is not a legal firm comprised of practicing lawyers. Though many of us have gone down the same road no two circumstances are the same when dealing with the courts. If you find yourself in a situation needing legal advice there is a section in the phone book filled with the phone-numbers of many lawyers, some of whom I hope are at least somewhat talented and make a living off of answering these sorts of question and representing you in the court of law.

There are better places to go when you have received a ticket. Though we can tell you what may have happened to us we can't really tell you what will happen to you.

The only way to truly avoid a ticket is by not speeding. Show up to court on time, well dressed, properly articulate yourself and give the judge the honest truth and maybe he'll let you off easily. If you think that you might be in a little more trouble than simple speeding or improper equipment, ie. DUI, reckless driving, intent to kill, or my favorite, vehicular homicide, find yourself a competent attorney and hope for the best. Most cops are decent people and know how to do their job when it comes to enforcing the law, sometimes they make mistakes and that is where the courts come in. Checks and balances if you will. I just want to emphasize that the average Driven user probably has not passed the BAR exam, nor have they probably attempted it for that matter.

How do the rest of you feel? Should there be a section, VAdrive > Legal Advice? Ticketted tips? Or should we just all together refrain from making these threads?

Well there are at least 5 different threads every day that say the same thing. I got a ticket. I was going xx in a yy and got pulled over and ticketed, this is the 143 ticket I've gotten in the past two weeks, I don't have a license, can't read or recognize numbers, and I'm only 14. What should I do?

It gets old. Shouldn't there be a section though for people getting tickets, and leave the general section for car talk, not ticket talk.

I agree with the OP 100%. It gets aggervating everytime you sign in theres a new thread about someone who has gotten another ticket and wants legal advice. Maybe there should be a section for people who want to make it known that they got a ticket like the whole road kill section, Its not like there's not enough people to post it in....... but not be able to ask for legal advice.

For the whole ticket tips > DONT BREAK THE LAW! thats the only tip you need to know.

Ticket threads can be entertaining. If you don't like them, don't read them.

Hell, this title mislead me and I was coming in here for some good old fashion ridiculing fun.

Like everyone said, don't fucking read them. Is the fraction of a second it takes you to look down to the next thread that painful? Personally I love reading ticket threads. I like to see what fines they get and what happened and all that shizzle.

I was doing Warp 9 in a 15 school zone.

Do you think I need a lawyer and should I get my speedo calibrated?
