I wanna run this past all of you because i think my head is on right but i wanna make sure. I am in iraq right now and i have a guy here who claims this... He has a 2001 Eclipse GT i think it is with the following...a RB26DETT with the full AWD package from said Skyline installed...putting out 800hp and he says he is sponsored and the car is worth like 70grand...now my question is this....is this even possible also why the hell would he want to race me for "pinks" as he put it...this whole topic came about when he was trying to give his buddy advice on how to modify his 03 Civic...what rang BS alarm 1 was he told his buddy to buy a body kit for it first...then goes into a huge rant about how his car can beat my Mini anywhere anytime...even said he would race me at a SCCA AutoX (and told me i can pick the course)...for one i dont think he has ever seen what a cone terrorist a Mini can be....let alone a Cooper S with a few suspension tricks...and every time i mention something in regards to horsepower is negated in a tight technical track with no long straights he goes off saying that it doesnt matter his 800hp will leave me behind....
i think i may have gone a bit off track...sorry ive been on watch for over 12hrs so im alittle mind fried

 

First of all, tell your friend with the 03 Civic not to do anything to the car, at all. Especially bolt ons. They're a waste of money. Either turbo the D17 or save the money for a K20 swap. That's the only way they'll be worth a shit. Also, suspension. I'd recommend a set of Tein Basics or D2s. Exhaust would be alright too. But anything else is a waste.

As for your moron of a friend with the 3rd gen Eclipse - please just shoot him in the face and deem it 'friendly fire'. He's so fucking clueless. Do you know how hard it would be to convert a FF to either FR or AWD? Unless you're investing to have a new chassis built, pretty much impossible without a shit load of money. I'd *really* have to see pictures of this, because noone would be dumb enough to waste money on something like that. And I'm sure if it was done, it'd be in magazines everywhere.
