the pistons will not expand as designed thereby letting more blowby gasses and not making full potential power.

as for is it "bad" on the motor?......no. will it degrade your oil quicker...yes.

did i care for the couple of 240's i did it on?.....no.

Mchvngs, i have never seen these temps during the winter.. 225 during the summer yes but not during the winter..im tryin to fix it now so come summer it doesnt boil over..


225 in the block isnt overheating. that just means your t stat is working and keeping your motor at that temp....this doesnt mean all the water in the rad is that temp.

Ok jus to clarify Greaser, so its ok if the temp gauge is reading _| | instead of _\/..

wtf, use a camera

mines been running fine, i replaced tstat, hose

i ran it in the summer without one and it was ok
