Default Synthetic transmission fluid vs lucas

This is going in a heavy duty v8/awd suv. I am changing the filter out, and switching to mobil1 synthetic ATF vs regular atf. I've heard people say to run 1 quart of lucas in place of the synthetic fluid... what do you gurus say? The transmission has no issues... no slipping, grinds, noises, or anything.

Default Re: Synthetic transmission fluid vs lucas

it will help it wear better..
it will not hurt it.
it will cause the oil to stick to the gear better and not just splash on it and slowly run off
although they are spinning so fast the oil has no time to "slide" off

you dont need it but if the mobil1 and the lucas are about the same price i would buy one qt of it.
