Don't pass over a car because of the wing! You can get that taken care of for the cost of a trunk repaint and some minor bodywork. STi and EVO owners do that all the time and don't think twice about it. I'd get rid of it, but it wouldn't deter me from getting the car.

I just think that the wing should be the last thing to think about because it's such an easy thing to change or remove..

What are your goals for the car?

Targa weighs more compared to the hardtop but I dont know about the UK but hardtops are alot harder to find than targas.
NA vs. Turbo should be a no brainer
Go over to MKIV.com and read the FAQ section...should help you learn some things that you dont already know.

where are you going in england? I guess Im not looking in the right spots. Yes the dollar to pound ratio is down which is very very good but still 1.50 to every 1 pound is still expensive as shit to me. But to contibute to the thread, turbo, manual. Gotta also look into how long it has MOT and Road Tax along with if its rusted which is a big deal. But you've lived here before so Im assuming you already know all this.

If I get where youre coming from I think you are misunderstanding what he is saying. He is saying the car itseldf is cheaper in England, and probaly a little bit more common than it is here.

I guess they are significantly cheaper. I always look at the Nissan Sunnys and other stuff not really the supras.

...Can you not read or something? Honestly, for fuck's sake.

OP: All down to personal preference. My own choice would be manual, TT, and I could go either way on both targa/fixedroof and wing/wingless. Wouldn't matter to me.

Go for it
