My girl and I were coming back from a trip to NYC...after the 8 hour drive home, I get pulled over for illegal exhaust (not even 30 seconds from my house). He comes up and notices I have expired tags/inspection as well. So he is in the process of writing 3 tickets when you hear this loud screeching...then BAM...a drunk driver in a neon nailed the cop (sitting still with his lights on) at 50 mph....the cop then hit the back of my car...my girl had her seatbelt on, but I didn't, but I just happened to be gripping the steering wheel from being pissed off. I get out of my car and the cop looks and me and was like what the fuck. The drunk driver was bleeding from both of his eyes and his head hit the windshield.

We ended up staying there for almost an hour filling out accident reports and insurance papers...nothing happened to my bumper, but there was already a dent there, so the officers said to tell my insurance company that I need a new bumper. The cop then let me off of all 3 tickets and we finally made it home....That is the first time that I have ever gotten off of a ticket and if I hadn't been holding onto the steering wheel, I would've hit my head on either the wheel or the windshield

 

i would say damn you lucked out but that sucks at the same time...
