Default Srt-4 hits a barrier

Well number barrier anyways.

Steve Anderson in TX just became the first owner (street driven) to get 500hp/500 ft lbs on the stock long block. We will see how long it lasts.

exact numbers today were 500.1 and 526 ft/lbs peak. The stock clutch is done for though.

His plan is to push the stock engine til it breaks. At least he has some decent tuning experience working with him on this.

He is having Zane at turbochargers.com doing the tuning. And it has alot of mods.

just go to srtforums, and click active topics. I am sure you will see the 500 hp post.

at the wheels. I have yet to really see anyone in the srt4 community go by crank hp ratings. I mean even though DCX rated the 03 at 215 hp at the crank, that was more on the lines of what it put down at the wheels.

Street driven? So he makes 500whp in street trim? I doubt he did it on pump gas. I hardly call race gas pulls street driven. Still an accomplishment though.

I do not know the octane rating in gas used. That I admit.
