Your right, WRXs and STIs both fall flat up top (tho not as much as some say) but it is fixable and they are well worth the money.

30r will solve those problems.
Or a 35R.

P&L just released their kit and they only offer 30Rs. I love that they stick with the top mount.

Why would they not be worth the money? Brand new they were about the same price as a SS Camaro and offer essentially the same performance with more versatility.

I am. It's a severly underrated turbo. If I had a setup that required a turbo like that, it'd be a 30r. And if I ever get to the point where I need a turbo to put me in the hp range, it'll be a 30r with a big exhaust side and a v-band outlet.

Catfish, have you ran a newer STI? Like say a 07? I launched on and good god did it take off and the 'top end' wasn't that bad. But I'm driving a 15 second car now vs my old car.

+100.....I have always thought that, which is why I will never get them on my car. My friend had them on his WRX......not any better in person.....trust me.

remember, i own a domestic so im extrememly biased, an ls1 at that.

and i dont think buying a new SS would be worth the money either, which is why i buy used all of the time. i defintiely respect the sti's, hell all subarus for that matter but what needs they fit dont apply to me.

there is no doubt however, that they fit a serious niche and are "good" in almost evey category

I loved my WRX and regret selling it. I had an 02 with bolts ons and a piggy back and I loved it. I loved it in the grass, the rain, the snow and the on and off ramps : ) Im not much of a street racer or racing from a roll. The few races I have done on the interstate havent been horrible turn outs but top end is bleh.
