So I sent someone to jail this morning.
Here's the story.
So I wake up to a HUGE bang at 5:13am, look outside my window and I see that the light pole is missing! I put on some shorts and go out the back gate to see a early 20's black male in a white shirt and pants looking in the trunk of the car. The pole was about 3 feet from my fence broken about a foot up from the ground. The car is a late model blue or black Corolla with Pennsylvania plates and a nice new racing slice down the passenger side.
I grab my cell phone off the bed and head out again in case there was an injury.
When I go out the guy that wrecked the car was about 40 yards down the sidewalk, I yelled at him and ran up to him. I asked if he was okay and if anyone was in the car with him (i couldnt see because the smoke from the airbags that went off.).. He said he was fine and I asked him if he fell asleep and he said yes. Then he tells me he's going down to the gas station which is at the end of my road. I let him go, in case he had a weapon or whatever I didnt feel like getting shot at 5am. I call 911 (WHICH ACTUALLY ANSWERED ON THE 2nd RING FOR ONCE!!!!!!) and spoke to the operator about what was going on.. a cop pulls up and I tell him that the guy left the scene and gave him a description, the officer says 'god dammit i dont wanna do this at fucking 5am' then proceeds to go and find the guy.
More cops show up and I tell them about what I had saw and heard. They ask if I can identify the guy, I said yes... So I squish my way into the back of the squad car and we head off.. About a half-mile or so away they have 3 suspects (white shirt and jeans) I pointed out the guy and told them that he was the one. They then take me back home as the sun is coming up and I hang out for a little bit with them joking around then go back inside and fill out a report. When I bring the report back out they say that the guy I pointed out had stolen the car from Norfolk and there was some paper work with the suspects NAME on it haha. So after that I got ready for work and then worked a 9 hour day which sucked
