OK this is for the nissan guy... how hard is to find parts for the RB20DET in the states. I'm probably going to get an old 89 R32 that is in pretty good condition and I just want to know if it might be worth the hassle of getting it.

stuff for the rb series will understandably be harder to find than more popular swaps like the sr.

it's not impossible, just will take some legwork and might cost you a limb or two because unless you're lucky, you'll probably have to get shit imported directly instead of from local stock.

Sounds like you already have it worked out. But if you run into troubles, talk to Aikmeng Kuah at www.splparts.com (email: kuah@splparts.com). That's who I get most of my Japanese parts from. He is dependable.

instead of asking....try to actually find stuff now, pick a part and see how hard it is to get. something like a power steering pump, or water pump.

even if you cant find it, these accessories are easily replaced by aftermarket components, but a block/head, a tranny and so on may be tough so start asking.

Getting JDM parts that aren't in stock is a huge PITA unless you wanna pay your first born for air freight.

Think 2-3 month waits
