yeah, been there already. 60 an hour. wasn't too impressed with the way shad handled my business. when i first got my car, i asked him to do a full check up(lemon check plus suspension). all he said was that i need new wheel bearings and lower ball joints. i ended up needing inner tie rod ends, rear motor mount, Lower ball joints, wheel bearings, o2 sensor. bumper support, ecu needed rewiring, vtec needed to be rewired, and a couple thinks i cant think of right now. anyways, if he would tune it and everything, would it still be 60 an hour??? it would only take about an hour, right??? andy imput is appreciated. and what about ruben??? who has worked with him???

Any shop that knows what they are doing and has a dyno setup is gonna be 50-70 an hour. ABACUS has a very good rep. No disrespect but it sounds like your car was a POS when you got it. That is a lot of work.

What controllers or engine management do you have to tune with? If none, it is pointless to tune.

As for not being impressed with Shad, I think you may have been mistaken. He is very knowledgeable and is good at what he does.

Yup. With an EMS/Fuel controller it's gonna be 1-3 hours on average.

i know abacus has a good rep, and yeah the car was a pos, but thats no reason to say fuck it and do a shitty ass check. it is a lot of work, but he's still a mechanic and i'm still his customer. the fundamentals of a mechanic's work are that you do what the customer asked you and if you can't you tell the customer.

i dont have any. if i were to go tune, i would have a vafc. i have a fuel pressure guage also. as for being pointless to tune, why would one cylinder be black? i'm trying to see whats up with that and get it tuned at the same time. (hopefully by tuning, he will be able to fix that problem). As for shad, see above reply
