Default Seriously why?

After building the RX7 I wasnt ready for all the attention this mofo gets. Old, young, little kids, and girls are fan of the car. I'm also tired of retards revving their engines and driving like complete jackasses to see if I'm just as retarded as them. It must be like a matting call or something to rev your engine and see if that other person does the same. Its always someone that doesnt even stand a chance in their POS dodge stratus.

Does this happen to you?

NOTE: not strong enough for SPO!!!!

Yes... yes it does happen to me when my car is on the road. What's really bad is going anywhere with the Panoz. Even when it's on the trailer people are reving at me, pointing, and asking questions.

I got back from VIR last Sunday at 11pm and just pulled the trailer in front of my house... some dude walking his dog wanted to aske me 11 million questions about it, then some kid driving by slammed on his brakes to stop and aske if it was a Viper.

Cool... fine... you like cars too, but it's 11pm on a Sunday night... leave me alone.

I dont mind when the time is right....ie "bass pro saturdays", "EVENTS" but I had people follow me and waited til i stopped at a store to ask questions. Can you pop your hood? NO. they also want a full detail description on what the car has? SHOPPING!!!!

I dont street race or drive like an asshole on the street. I'm afraid to let the old lady drive this piece.

Not really. its not like I drive a honda. I'm sure the panoz and the freshly painted vette get pleanty of attention. Sometimes I love the attention....thumbs up, nice car, ect. But following me til I stop and driving next to me like an asshole is not cool. I will be in the market for some protection real soon.

I had a state trooper on 17n make a u-turn just to get next to me and throw me the head nod thumbs up jesture. It was epic.

IMO the stock-body RX7 looks too much like a C5 vette or a Miata. But yeah it still gets attention. Unfortunately it's mostly a dick-magnet.

Other way around... C5 designers openly admit they used the RX-7 and the NSX as inspiration for the C5.

Yeah too bad there's waaaay more vette's on the road so everyone just assumes Chevy got it first. Many people still find it hard to believe that the RX7 body style is back from '93. Mazda was definitely ahead of the curve with with that car.

:shakes fist at Chevy:

The C5 development program started in '89 or '90 I believe... took a long time because it was such a radical departure from the C4 and a huge leap forward.
