Schools
Im graduating high school in a few months and ive been looking over colleges to go to and ive been considering wyotech. i want to go to a school thoe that is more based on imports. Im hoping to find one on the east coast thoe. If anyone knows of any good schools, i would like people to post some websites of schools that would be more in that area.
UTIhttp://www.uticorp.com/
I really wanted to go there.. still do but..other things have me at the moment

I would not recomend UTI, Wyotech, or ATI personal prefrence would be the TCC program. I have worked previously with people the went to those schools and it would apear that those from TCC were more capable. It may have been what the people put into it and they were just lasy who knows. Just my recomenddation(selling).
I was looking into going to UTI about a 2 years ago. It was really expensive and they also kept sending me the wrong paper-work. They have a bunch of different programs and it seemed like they kept sending me an application for everything but the career field i applied for.
do not go to an automotive school unless you really, really want to work on cars. i got my degree in automotive from tcc and i dont even want to be a mechanic, im going back now for IT just make sure thats what you want to do because once you get out there in the field shit changes quick
I went and graduated from UTI, and my roomate while I was at Volvo's SAFE program was a Wyotech grad. For the most part they are both very simaler schools. Wyotech has a very strict dress code, and they are tring to produce a certain kind of student/graduate. UTI on the other hand is more of a general school, a bit overpriced but good school. If I had it all to do again I wouldnt have gone to either if I wanted to serriously get into the field. I would have just gone out and spent my money on getting tools and went to work at a shop as a lube tech till I got a bit of experiance under my belt. As it stands now there is not enough work in the automotive field to make any money so I am looking at getting out of it.
So lets recap, I have gone to a 30K dollar school, spent a interesting 2 years in Houston TX, and Pheonix AZ, then struggled to find a job at a shop somewhere, and when I did find a job there is no cars to work on. No work means no money in the automotive field.
