Default S2000 vs. Corvette Gasmileage

Hey, I own a 2001 S2000. We have 10gal tanks and are rated to get 20/25mpg I get about 25mpg mixed with sporadic A/C usage and quick accelerations, but most of the time I just cruise easily. I have been hearing a lot lately that Corvettes get better mileage than us. Rather than just look for the manufacturer's claim that tries to sell the car I wanted to get the actual mileage from actual owners for both the S2000 (AP1 and AP2) and late to current year Corvettes.

Post both miles per a tank and average mileage.

About 250miles giving me about 25mpg.

I got 28.7mpg driving my car from West Virginia to Hampton Roads.....seriously. 6th gear @ 75mph only revs at ~1650rpms. Of course I have rarely reached those numbers again (9mpg during VIR full course @ 150+mph). Yes, they get great mileage (when driven normal) and are the ONLY car ever with >500hp that doesn't have to pay a gas guzzler tax. In real life, I average about 16-22mpg because I like to drive a bit spirited.

I got 32 on my way to DC... no stops.. no traffic...

then I hit traffic and whatnot. When I got to Oscoda, Michigan my average among rest stops, food stops and every hour girlfriend stops was 28.2 MPG

875 mi – about 14 hours 12 mins (maps.google.com)

Not bad for a V8, IMO
