S2000 VS. 350Z Roadster
I couldn't agree more with that article. They even make the S2000 out to be kind of an oddball in the 30-60k drop top line up....which it is. I haven't driven a drop top Z but from the sound of it it drives pretty much like the coupe. From the engine that is obviously a tuned up version of a common workhorse engine, to the handling that seems like a fine tuned suspension that is dialed back a notch or two for the common man to be comfortable in, to the styling and luxury that while still sporty is also blessed with certain things that make the car (heavier) more livable. The S2000 is simply a race car for the street. You might laugh but I really think of it as a poor man's Ferrari. It's not for everyone, but if you are looking for a no compromise sports car...it's the only choice for under Viper price.
