Re: The return of Datsun!
"The company also plans to include a "green" line of Datsun cars."
Doesn't seem like it's going to be the Datsun you used to know. But nonetheless I am excited to see what produces out of its resurrection.

I'm afraid this Nissan isn't exactly the Nissan I used to know...

Re: The return of Datsun!
Im wondering if they're going to try and do the "retro" theme like other companies, because I would love to see a new 510 coupe or a one off of a Z...

Re: The return of Datsun!
From what I've read, the plan is to use the marque as a budget brand rather than a retro or sporty image. It's an off-brand so that Nissan can sell cheap cars without hurting their rep in "developing countries" like China and what not.
That's great news to hear but I'm sure bummed we won't get to see it over here. I don't know how selling cheapo cars under the Datsun name would go down with everyone in the U.S anyhow.

Re: The return of Datsun!
I assume whether it comes back to America will be based on figures in the three emerging markets. I doubt America will be added to the list of countries unless Datsun is a raging success.
