Default Replicate this turbo

Does anyone know of any shops in HR area that would be brave enough to replicate this turbo kit ?

If so how much would it run just parts / with labor ? And no - I dont care what people think about FWD turbos, SRT is FWD and they do just fine

You don't want that turbo kit, it's not finished yet. It's missing a lot of stuff, and looks totally half-assed.

Make sure if you get something like that to put heat shields on the turbo, the intake piping, and that coolant line going to the radiator (among other things). At the bare minimum, shield the exhaust side of the turbo. The attention to detail on that turbo setup sucks.. But hey, if you want to get stranded on the side of the road..

Oh, and if you move the battery to the trunk, don't be an idiot. Put it in a battery box, vented to the outside of the car, or use an Optima battery or similar.

umm I sort of agree with Fabrik8... That radiator hose is pretty dang close to the turbo.

OK, thats good to know - does anyone know what turbo is being used there by looking at the pics ? Do performance shops do a custom setup when there is not kit available ?

if they dont suck complete fucking crap and arent morons they do....if you take your car to a performance shop and they say they wont custom fabricate a turbo setup for you, than they suck ass and you should ask them why they call themselves a performance shop. yea you might get charged out of this universe, especially to get it to run correctly, but hey that comes with the terrritory with cars that dont have kits on the market for them.

I guess I should simply start asking the places nearby to VA Beach for price quotes, its just the last time I did people had no idea what would work, surprising to me since there are quite a few turbo'ed 350Z's and that's the same VQ35DE motor, granted RWD application.

I'm sure once you see a price quote for a complete fabbed and tuned kit with parts and labor you will pretty much shit a brick.

mrd auto in portsmouth VA 757 853 7771 can do it and have done a few setups like that already. expect to spend around 6k installed. also the VQ35 wont make much over 375-400 whp before breaking the rods.
