REPAIR: Paintchip. Metal exposed
Hey everyone,
Today, someone threw a tiny nail in the air and it landed on my trunk.
Anyways, there is a chip in my paint now. I can see the metal on the car so the nail has removed the clearcoat and all the paint in that little spot.
Any suggestions on how to repair this? If it matters, the car is a White 2001 Honda Civic.
Thanks!

Re: REPAIR: Paintchip. Metal exposed
Whats the best way? Im anal about my car being dent/ding/chip/etc free.
Will touch up paint:
-Last
-Blend in the best (among all other possible methods)
-Go on relatively easy
Also, wouldnt I need clearcoat?
Sorry for 20 questions but Im just trying to research the matter and looking for the best possible method of fixing this.

I've used the paint pens. You can get them from advanced auto or auto zone. I used very thin coats. Do one coat and let it dry. Do another coat. Dry. You keep doing this, slowly building up layers until it's the same/close height to the stock paint.
Worked well for me with the red. You don't see it unless you look hard....actually looking for it.
Good luck
