removing water spots from glass
i have what appears to look like acid rain water spots on the glass of my hatch...anyone know of a way to remove them? i have tried cleaner wax etc but they are still there any help would be appreciated....mods if this in wrong forum plz move.....i did not think this would be tech talk worthy.

ive always heard vinegar works. ive never tried it and dont know if it'll damage anything

Vinegar based glass cleaner has a chance, but the best thing, use a little modern toothpaste. It's a mild enough polish to leave the glass sparkling, but will remove the spots if they are indeed hard water spots.

Acid rain spots are much more difficult than hard water spots. Here at work we use C R Laurence "Sparkle" cleaner and stain remover. I also have an acid that is used to clean the spots off high rise building glass. http://crlaurence.com/ProductPages/S...4.html?Origin=

I use a product that Napa sells "Nu glass" It works very well.

How does this NOT effect your paint? If it is hard water, then elbow grease and reacting(cleaning)quickly is all it takes...
