Reckless Driving Ticket
I got a reckless driving ticket for burning out/breaking traction...i was wondering if anyone knew what the fine was?....i would appreciate any information relating to this in the Norfolk/VA Beach area
First off your stupid for doing it, I don't know why or how you did it but I can't stand those stupid people that have a need to show off in public.
Second off you could go to court and try to get it dropped, my friend went to court when he got a ticket like this and told the judge that his ebrake was sticking at the time or some none sense like that and it was dropped. But depends really on your driving records.

I wasnt showing off in public and im not whining, im just curious because i just moved here from england about 6 months ago, so i dont know a whole lot about penalties and fines here. i was just wondering what the fine would be since you can calculate your fine for speeding yourself, but plain wreckless for breaking traction??
There is no set fine for reckless, there is a maximum of $2500. It is a mandatory court room visit, you cannot just pay it. The judge will hear the case, listen to your bullshit, and then produce a judgment. Depending on how stupid you are in telling your side will greatly depend on how high the fine goes. Also so you know, reckless carries not only a fine but up to one year of jail time, suspension of your license up to 6 months, and in some rare cases impounding of your vehicle.
