rear wheel drive honda idea
i'm sure this has crossed many minds before. but i am thinking about puting a honda motor on a tube frame like a big ass go kart. i would like to use a d series motor but i think the shift linkage would propose a problem any suggestions for that. if not then i would use a f22/h22 with the cable shifter to simplefy the project i have found a coulpe online. and if i made this do you think i could run it at any track if i used the right tubing and have the right safety stuff 5 point 12 point cage. if you have any suggestions please post

Yeah, iv had a similar idea, but were actually going to do it. My friends got a 93 Si hatch and were swapping out the d16 into a shifter kart and hes building another motor to swap (maybe b16-t). the frame going to need some extending but its basically the same idea as yours...aside from the frame size. Ill keep you posted on what we do with the shif linkage, etc, because we want to use the clutch, and shift setup as if it were in a car.

Re: rear wheel drive honda idea
seen the ariel atom and liked it. as for size of the frame i have planned for it to be 9 to 10 feet long and as wide as a crx so i can use the same cv axles and hubs. height i would like to have about 3 to 5 inches of clerance. i think it will hug the ground. weight with a d series i think it will weigh about 1000 to 1200 with me in it.
