Real or Fake?? Mugen, Spoon, JUN, Toda....
Curious, is there some kind of website where I can go to look up how to identify real from fake jdm parts? In particular I got ahold of a "real" mugen shift knob for almost nothing, and im curious to if it is really real or a fake put in a mugen package.... Anyone know?

I don't know of a website, but I'd bet if you post a ton of pictures on here and honda tech, you'll get an answer.

Only way. There are people on there who live or have lived in japan and people who just straight up warship those companies. Kinda like how people collect/warship SBs. Every question you think of has an answer waiting somewhere.

Does it really matter? You got a good deal, and it's just a shift knob. Just install and use it. I guarantee that a Mugen shift knob doesn't give you any more performance than a fake Mugen would. Who's to say the packaging isn't fake too?
