I dont mean to hijack your thread, but I just recently got a reckless ticket for doing 60 in a 35. What has been the general outcome when it comes to this type of incident??

VA has a weird law about 35MPH zones that not many lawyers/police know about. Reckless is 25MPH over the speed limit in a 35MPH zone. So get your speedometer calibrated and get that shit reduced to simple speeding.

You are also going to jail. Multiple reckless in a few months = pissed off judge that feels the need to teach you a lesson.

While you are in jail you should look in to taking one of the reading/writing betterment courses they have available.

You know you were racing, you are going to get a fine, and probably jail time. You deserve it. Don't race on the street if you don't want to go to jail.

DMV will still score you 6 points for 20MPH or more over, and technically 60MPH is reckless 59MPH is not. But it shouldn't be too hard to reduce it 1MPH with radar calibration, speedometer calibration....
