Question Swapping A ITR B18C Into A 99 Civic EX...

Okay, my girlfriend has a 99 Civic EX. About a month ago, we were driving back from Manassas and on 29 her car threw a rod.. I just purchased her a 96-97+ Spec Integra TypeR B18C. Her car was an automatic, now of course its going to be changed to a manual. I called Hybrid Garage and they said for $2,500.00 they would take out the old motor and put the new one in and include everything that didnt come with the swap. This is what all I got, I paid $4,600 for everything including shipping. Motor arrives Monday, Tuesday latest, but estimated delivery is Monday:

Engine: B18C
Transmission
ECU
Axles
Shift Linkage
Mounts(Im pretty sure there the stock Integra mounts...)

Anywho, my main question is this. Is that price a good price? Does the Honda dealership usually carry the 99-00 L shaped brackets? Will the stock Integra mounts work in her car or do I need the Hasport motor mounts? Is there anything else I'm going to need besides, and Im assuming this, I personally dunno b/c Ive always had a manual car, Hasport or Hybrid Garage motor mounts, shifter, and clucth pedal? Thanks guys! Also, would anyone here know of perhaps a cheaper place to get the swap done at? Anyone here be interested in doing it one day this coming week/weekend?

Garrett

Well to me it seems like $2500 is a shit ton, only reason I see why it's so expensive because they have to convert it to manual, but a motor swap is fairly easy.

Seriously, take it to APN Fabrications in Chantilly. Those guys know what they are doing.

703-606-0289. Or you can pm LD-rhdEG6 or LivinDreamsDC2.

Edit: They can help you with your S2K too.

Honda engine swaps aren't too complicated, there are many companys that make engine mounts so that the engine pretty much bolts in. Now changing from auto to 5spd is a little tricky. if it were me I'd just save the money and do it myself.

however if you don't feel confident enough to do a swap on your own, 2500 seems a little high but I've never gone to a shop to get work done so i don't really know prices

no cutting required. all you have to do is put in clutch line, clutch pedal, short brake pedal, clutch master cylinder, and jump out the neutral switch and change the cluster, and shift linkage.
