The $12,000 is for the turbo kit and to build the motor. You can see were it says this in the first line of my post. The turbo kit is at least $6,000 unless you piece together a kit of your own, and the engine build would at least cost around $6,000 or more for a fully built long block. If I went turbo, I would have to go fully built or no turbo at all. I would rather just stick with a KB or Whipple. How much would it cost to build up a high horsepower SR20? I can get a SR20 motor pretty cheap from a friend. I think he told me around $1500 for motor and tranny. Has about $30,000 miles on it and running good with no leaks (Red Top).

You do realize that TheGoaT had a 11.0@12x Lightning with a built motor and a KB right?

Well, the RX7 would be WAY more fun then the Civic...and who the fuck is going to give you 20,000 dollars for a swapped Civic. Selling the 7 wouldn't be easy, but they are highly saught after to begin with. There is a FD shell on autotrader for 6k right now...but personally for the same function you could get a S14 shell and do the swap. There is a guy selling a S14 shell on LookOutDrift for 2500 or 3k that includes 6 wheels and it already has a body kit on top of that. Anyway, LSX RX7 >>>>>> K20/24 Civic. Also, you can get a LS1 w/ T56 transmission for around 2500 bucks if you look in the right places, then all you need is some head work, cam, pushrods, headers/exhaust, and tune and you're looking at roughly 400whp (+/- 20-50whp depending on what exactly you do).

FWD negates any possible advantage a civic may have.
