Default pretty new to the site, need some advice?

hey guys

just wanna say, this is an awesome site. in the week i've just been reading topics off here, i've learned so much.
but on to why i'm posting this.

I'm at the point where i'm gonna buy my first project car.
i could get a stock 91 integra for 2000, or i could get a 95 eclipse with a body kit and a cold air intake for 3500. i was just wondering if anybody can give me some advice on any of these cars. i've heard alot of good and bad for both, but i still haven't decided! Thanks for listening to me rant.
hope i get some good stuff from you guys.

the integra is an RS, the eclipse is a GS i think.
both have over 150k. not sure about what's under the hood of either, but let's just say they're stock engines. what would you guys pick?

You sound as if you do not have the funds to fix the things that break on the DSM.

I'd say the Integra

The good:
- easy to work on.
- cheap to build.
- buttloads of JDM goodies...if your into that.
- lots of area to swap in just about anything.
- holds up well, even when beaten daily
- tons of aftermarket parts and online tech support.
- the DA's & DC's both have good body lines and curb weights.

The Bad:
- honda motors do not like high HP...for to long.
- Honda trannies do not like to be beaten at all.
- honda's are usually in the "high theft" category.
- honda's in general have been "played out" as some would say. I could care less about what someone else would thinks figuring that I still own my 88 CRX si and a 95 EX. I just though that I would add it to the "Bad" as some here who are bangwagoners like to throw out that "played out" shit.

As for the Eclipse's, I not going to say anything good or bad because I have never own one.
I will say that I've heard enough just from the dragva/vadriven boys to give me the impression that I do not want to own one.

if i do get the integra, what B series would i put it for 170+hp?

oh, and isn't it true B series engines don't have poo for torque?

You can turbo the stock engine and have plenty of fun.

VERY true, my first Honda was a 96 GSR, and it literally amazed me the lack of low end grunt it had. It was an overall fun car though.

However ive owned a couple eclipses and the NA versions are piss poor slow no matter what you do to them. Even with a turbo kit.
