Possible Prelude Si options
I just bought a 1986 Prelude Si from my uncle for $400. I am wondering what options i have as far as hooking it up and all as well as what the rim specs are (what types of rims fit aka lug specs) and whether i can put a body kit designed for a 1988 on it if its possible. I am also curious as to what engine the car comes with stock and whether a vtec is the a smart decision. Money is not a concern.

im afraid to say there is little or no stuff specifically designed for your year prelude. you might be able to alter some existing bolt ons to work, such as intake and exhaust... check around on www.alternativehonda.com

there's not a whole ton more for 3rd gens (88-91) either. If your serious about the car, and you love it that much (that's why I'm here :P) AND money is no concern, figure out some sort of engine swap. It's the best way to A) increase power and potential, and B) open up many more options as far as aftermarket support is concerned.

Don't forget that you can also do any b-series honda swap into the 2nd gen also.
as far as doing body mods, anything is possible with enough bondo/fiberglassing/welding/ hammering into place
Oh yeah if you try to get any wheels get the 4x100 lug wheels you know for civics and tegs
