i actually contacted the owner. she has now blown the motor. i was going to pick it up for the shell, but she wanted more then its worth

 

My first guess would be that she would total it while playing on her phone or switching CD's but if the motor is blown that won't happen. At least I was right that she'd fuck it up somehow!

 

How much did she want for it? I assume the shell had rust (though none is pictured)?

When I read the thread title, I thought this was yet another AE86s that was drifted to death.

 

it really didnt have to much rust. but it was a long story. when i first contacted her it was running and she told me to make a offer. i never did cuz i didnt really need the car. about a week later they called and said they had sent the rod through the motor. i was like sweet. so i offered like 150-200 for the shell. she said that the dealer she bought the car from said they would give her a $1000 off another car if she traded it in. so she said shed givve it to me for 1000. i told her she needs to take the other deal cuz theres no way in hell that im payin 1000 for an sr5 with a blown motor

 

Shoulda asked her if she had tripple A, then if she didn't make up some crazy towing cost and totally low ball the shit out of her for "taking it off her hands"
