Plate in Front Window
Question, in Virginia, is it considered legal to have your front plate in the corner of your front window or is this considered an obstruction of vision?
I know some states will allow that vs. having it mounted to the front bumper....how about here.

Virginia is way to damn picky. haha
I hate having front plates but going on base every day is just asking for it if I don't stay legal in that department.

It is illegal because it is considered a "missile"; (their) reasoning being that if it were to fly back at you or a passenger (I guess from slamming on the brakes or a collision) it could injure / decapitate / kill somebody.
that is saying if you have a cd in the front seat it can do so to... and for stepping on the breaks i highly doubt it and for getting in an accident it would do more than a license plate would. but i'm just venting cause i had to explain the theory to a police officer when he got on my case about it. it came down to the fact that it wasn't up to him and he was just letting me know.
At least the plate would be stuffed inbetween your dash and the front windshield and not just freely laying around like so many other things in our cars.
Oh well, guess I'l just keep the fugly front plate on cause I can't really get by with it that easily.
