Does anyone have any recommendations for online mobile electronics shops other than cruthfield and ebay? If you can, post your experiences with them, positive or negative.

I have bought from a few shops, but was not happy with my service. They were very slow and did not tell me that the stuff I ordered was backordered til about two weeks after I ordered it.

I am looking for Kenwood, Alpine, MB Quart and JL specifically. And I'm not interested in buying anything used.

 

I've ordered plenty from www.ikesound.com and had great service and got great prices, I've also heard good things about etronics.com also.

 

wont find any JL stuff online they do not sell or authorize any online sales only in person stores. if you find any for sale online your warranty is voided. also depends on what you looking for if its just simple decks and some speakers i say stay local. soundshop discount auto have competitive prices that resemble much of what is online. if your looking for more high end stuff then online might be better to find deals. but i havn;t done any online shopping for stereo stuff for those reasons.

 

I bought my JL sub online. As for local prices...nobody comes close to online. I'm looking for the Alpine CDA-9835. It is $550 at crutchfield and locally that can't be beat by more than like $50 max I'm sure. If I can find it online, I'm sure I can get it for $450 or less. I'm just looking to make sure I buy from a shop that is semi-reputable or that people on here have bought from and had good experiences.

 

If you do a google search alot of times it'll bring up those price comparison pages where people rate stores and such. I tried searching for the 9835 before and I believe I found prices as cheap as $399.

 

yeah, I understand how to search, but I was looking to hear about experiences from people on here.

And I actually spend about $3k in audio stuff over ebay, buying from ebay stores. I bought a refurbished Pioneer Mp3 player after I got rid of my Eclipse tv setup, and honestly, there was no way to tell is was refurbished.Worked perfectly. I loved it.

I got my 9835 through accomodations at circuit city, but check etronics.com for it
