Old Rice
wow this is 100% cheese. your motivations for building something are to hang out at ames and show it off... because ames is where all the cool street racers hang out, right? haha. im glad youre not behind the wheel yet because you have got a lot to learn. it would have been one thing to say 'hey guys im kind of thinking about doing a swap into an 82 accord' instead of claiming you are some kind of professional and expecting assistance. tards like you are why i dont go to ames or any of those places anymore

I figured there were going to be quite a few reliability issues with it (suspension, frame strength, custom EVERYTHING, just to name a few) and I do not have the money nor information to do something like that...althought that old skool Civic EEK keeps throwing up makes me drool.
Good luck with whatever you want to do.

Why does your "dream honda" keep saying "fully" on everything.. does that mean its so ported that he has a fraction of a mm between the port and the water jacket? some guys are confusing.. like all these honda just saying they have stage's .. wtf does that tell anyone? just curious..
I have some comments on this thread.
First of all, his swap is very bogus I admit. We were all fifteen at one time, and we all had dreams. And 99% of them didnt work out. You live, you learn, that's a fact of life. I know he is hell bent on doing this swap, and I know he does have quite a bit of money. I dunno where he gets it from, but I know he has it. I think if that's truly what he wants to do, he will accomplish it. I also believe that by the time he DOES have enough money to do it, he will decide on something totally different, maybe a totally different car.
I have been in the racing scene for quite a while now, and it's disgusting to see how it has changed. Everyone knocks everyone else down because of jealousy. I don't see why people can't just look at someone elses stock motor and see a whole lot of potential.
I have a 96 Civic EX d16y8 with low compression pistons, HOMEMADE T-3 turbo kit with 12 PSI for now, v-afc hack, full exhaust. I go to VAMP about every month during the season with my current project car. I don't street race, but I do watch. I want to know what is so different about my little "race team". There are some really decent cars and some very skilled drivers on Import Evo. The web site is outdated, so don't believe everything you see.
Well I'm finished preaching now. Gotta go change my oil.
PS: CB, you do sound VERY rice on here. Just chill man, do what you need to do, and one day it'll all work out.

i'm not really knocking on him. and alot of other people really arent either. they're just telling him that it could be a mistake, especially if he ran out of funds midway through the project. or even worse it ends up being slower than a civic dx
on another note if he really wanted to do this then he should. its his car, his money, his time.
