Just dont beat the shit out of it,and do fluid exchanges like every 5000 miles.

I heard there not really bad if you take care of your tranny, just dont forget the company that makes it,its the most affordable for a reason.

Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. They're fine for regular street use, and there is a reason they're pretty cheap.

I have one and it comes with a lifetime warranty so I would'nt worry to much about it.

Iceman05 is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Re: obx lsd

it will hold up. if you want, you can upgrade the internals (washers and bolts) like i did. read this thread: http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/1752849

Drag racing is a pretty easy application for it; it only needs to work in a straight line without any speed difference through corners. It should work fine.

would a spool be better than the lsd for a pretty much only track car it will never hit the road again, and gets trailered to the track?

Cheaper yes, better is debatable though. Strip-only cars have used spools for a long time with great success. A spool will put a lot of driveline stress into the tranny when doing any sort of turning with slicks though, such as at the beginning or end of a run when you're getting on/off the track.
