How come I see NSXs all the time and rarely see Carreras?

You're just unusually lucky, I guess.

Because you happen to work where there are a few? Your line of thinking is like me saying that submarines are more common than jets because I see them all day...

I'm not talking about the ones on base. I see different ones driving around town all the time too. I hardly ever see Carreras though. But who cares... that is just what I see.

Exactly. You just happen to see more NSXs. Either that or the Porsches are just blending in.

The numbers don't lie though. There are WAY more 911s out there.

9,600 997s sold in a five-month period. Compare that with less than 10,000 NSXs sold between 1990 and today.

I think Dave's onto something. The NSX just sticks out more.

Obviously there are more 911's out there, they are the superior car for the money. Even the highpriced ones.

And vice versa, there are less NSXs out there because they are overpriced for the money. Nobody bought them, they were literally being pushed out of the lots. You said it yourself...

I meant the 'later model years when the MSRP was so high. I guess I should've clarified. I only used that to counter the ridiculous $96K posts.

Honda was never in a hurry to "push" any NSX off the lot. They never meant to profit from the NSX. There was never a stockpile of NSXs that couldn't be sold.

The low production was never due to low sales.
