I wasnt thinking of it in terms of quarter mile times, but more on how it would handle, and when a turbo is involved I would prefer to have either the rear or all the wheels putting the power down. High horsepower, traction issues and understeer are not fun on a road course.
I was able to pass a SRT-4 last weekend at VIR after only three laps when he had double the hp I did. While the high power RX-7's and EVO's, I never got close to.

actually u passed rx-7s and evos too.

I doubt it will be turbo. Probably a Sentra Spec V 2.5L at best. Now, if they srapped this and updated the GTi-R, I'd be all over it.
edit: after looking through THESE PICS , there's definitely a boost gauge at the bottom of the center cluster

.. and basing your decision on drivetrain choice due to one driver in one car that you saw once is kind of.. well.. you know.
