Nissan. How much would you pay for....
A 97 240SX. 150k miles on odo. 50k miles on blacktop SR20DET, Veilside rims (9" +12 offset front and 11" +9 offset rear), and complete although unpainted Vertex body kit. Car is green and needs paint.
I'm selling my GTI and I have a guy that wants me to make him an offer on his car plus cash for mine. I'm not really sure what to offer him.

Re: Nissan. How much would you pay for....
The wheels alone sound like they're worth at least 2500-3000 w/ tires if you were to buy them, the motor another 2-2500 the kit another 900-1200 and the car itself around 5 or 6,000. But, resale value would only be around 7-10k...I assume there is more done than just a motor swap wheels and a kit, the thing should have a decent suspension on it if the guy paid for those wheels. If I was making that deal I would offer the guy 9k off the price of your car on the basis that you will be spending another 1k at least to paint it decently and see what happens. Kouki S14s are the shiznite.

I don't even know what Vertex is, But I agree on the veilside rims. I've never been a veilside fan. I'm going to ask him if he has the stock or any other rims and can keep the veilside rims. I'd rather go my own route on the wheels.

I'd probably pay 10, depending on a lot of factors.
stock suspension?
bodywork okay?
mileage is quite high for a 97, and you could probably sell the wheels if he must include them in the sale.
