I love how everyone says intake and exhaust make the car lose power. No they won't, you just need to do a little research first. Don't buy an intake that's suppoed to boost low end power, and an exhaust that's supposed to boost top end, they'll end up canceling each other out and you'll end up worse than stock.
Most JDM biased parts look for more top end where as parts designed with the US market in mind look for mid range gains.
My advice, do what I did to mine. Look high and low for a comptech intake, it's the only one worth putting on the car. It actually makes some ok gains in the mid range, isn't too noisey, and looks finished under the hood. It's also true cold air without any risk of sucking up water. Throw a test pipe and HKS exhaust along with it. Then put a V-AFC or if you feel like spending the money, a Greddy E-manage on the car and lean it out a bit on top. They're tuned super rich from the factory.
Stock my car put down 195whp, with intake exhaust and test pipe I got up to 203 with bigger gains in the middle, and with the V-AFC tuned I saw 215 with more torque at all RPMs than the 2.2l cars.

. Bone stock. Has plenty more. Very strong.

And forget the Chumptech airbox. They offer some gains but it'll fall apart within a year. Buying a used one means someone else has already used up its good year.

Flite, I'm surprised you never had issues with yours. You must have had one in a million.

My opinion: Your best bet is a Spoon (or knockoff) snorkel. The factory airbox is very very very hard to improve upon. And if you look hard enough you can find a snorkel for under $100.
Also, if you're planning to stay with a dual-exit exhaust you'll probably be fine with the stock one. Some offer gains and weight savings, but not enough to justify the price.
