The 2jz-gte is king because there is no other engine like it readily available in the US. Responds excellent to mods, can hold big HP pretty reliably imo.

The RB26dett is the only thing that can compare to the 2jz-gte imo. However, I do not know enough about skylines to go beyond that.

Total package I'd lean towards the skyline, engine i'd lean towards the supra.

The VG30DET can handle 600hp w/ out ANY internal mods. Just thought I'd throw that in; the others mentioned are badass too!

vg30dett pales in comparison to the 2jz.

the potentials of both the 2jz-gte and rb26dett are very very close, but i believe the rb26dett has the slight advantage

man this guys funny. ive seen quite a few supras that have been tested at around 600 horses and had internal mods. i wish i could run 3 times as much horsepower as i got on my internally stock ls ( 550 horses!!!!)

I seriously doubt they are going to base the skyline on a 300Z processor. Teh fairlady adn Skyline have been very far apart in Japan and I don't see them merging them now not with the history the Skyline has.

well it is built on the same frame now. and they look very close the same. the g35 IS THE NEW SKYLINE! its not a gtr, but rather a regular skyline. i think people as a whole should start calling the gtr something other then a skyline, cause most non-gtr skylines are pretty uninspiring and slow heavy cars.
