whats up w/ this V6 bullshit?? the RB series of motors were some of the best engineered motors in a production vehicle...looks like nissan is fucking shit up on this one

Not really. Nissan is using the same engine platform for all of their current cars. Manufacturers have been doing this for years. It helps them save money on parts production and technical research. Meanwhile, it keeps cost of parts down for us, as many parts stay the same or similar throughout the years of productions, and many of the same parts (ex: oil filters) are used by different vehicles. A version of my motor was even used in old Nissan Quests (vans). Until the 350Z, different versions of the VG30DE have been used in Z's for over 20 years.

The new engines they are using are pretty badass. 287hp NA in the 350Z. The technology in the G35 is pretty impressive so far; it's just the look of the car that ruins it for me. There should be a fine line between the look of a Skyline and a fucking Benz.
