Default New Clutch?

My friend drove my car today ( 94 accord ex 5spd ) and he said he could tell the clutch was really slipping. I dont notice it i guess, i dont know what i would look for to be honest. So here are my two questions:
1. should i wait to get a new clutch, like does something just happen and it dies
2. what is the most economical route to doing this
im not a car guru, so i dont think i would be able to install it myself. thanks.

well...do you understand how a clutch works? or what a "slipping clutch" is doing? because that will give you an indication on how long you can drive the car.
