There is a certain distance behind the truck where there is turbulence though. I wonder how you find out this zone and get into the sweet spot which is safe? My first time experiencing turbulence airflow behind a truck, I thought my steering had broken off. I was in a small car though.

It seem like 100ft might be a decent distance though.

I was always close enough I couldn't see their mirrors.

when was in high school I was driving a colt vista. If I got into the right spot, I could step on the clutch and the force from the truck would pull me along for a while...it was awesome.

Reduce the drag, and gas mileage will improve.

Now if there was a way to reduce the rolling resistance on the tires.
