It WILL have the 3.2 liter VR6. That motor was developed for the MKV. I like certain aspects of it and can't stand other. Word is that it will be built in Mexico again too, and VW has had quality issues when their cars were assembled in Mexico before.

the 3.2l VR6 is a big bore/stroke version of the 2.8l 24v. It wasn't really designed for the mkv. It is also in the Toureg and the audi tt. the only real advance since the original vr6 is the head. It flows a helluva lot better than the original 12v.

I'm not doubting that it will have a 3.6...I'm just saying that it WILL have the 3.2. I'm almost 100% confident that the basic VR6 GTI will be using the 3.2 now. Probably have 4-motion as an option too...basically you're run of the mill VR6 GTI will be on par with the current R32. I'm sure it'll be missing a lot of the other R32 upgrades though like the interior and brakes and stuff

oh, I was just saying that the .:R car will be a 3.6l. The standard gti will get the 3.2l...thats almost certain. I think 4motion is available on every engine in europe (including the TDi), but I dont' see us getting it. Its been available over tehre for years, but we got screwed throughout the whole damn mkiv life until the r32.
