I don't think that more HP is the goal. I think they're going for an all around better car.
I think the point is that you're shaving off hundreds of lbs and in the process attaining a better weight balance.
That or they're just aiming for bragging rights.
whatever the reason I have to admit, they earn plenty of cool points for engineering.

turbo kit for miata price< hayabusa swap price. if you want to do something cool with a hayabusa motor put it on a go cart. there's power to weight ratio. just seems more practical. im with jarret, and the rest of this forum.
