Yeah, so the brakes went out on the IROC piece of shit Thursday on my was home. Luckily it was cold and the neighborhood kids were all inside, or it could have been dangerous. I managed to downshift, but the road into my court is slightly downsloped, so I could only get it so slow. I flipped it into reverse to attempt to have the tranny stop me...and the engine stalled out (too much fwd momentum). So I was at the mercy of physics, and aimed for the empty parking space in the middle of the court.

It's amazing how much force there is behind a car just moving <5 MPH, but there it is. The car hit the curb and went right up and over it and landed like it sits in the picture. The roof is funky because the unibody was flexing so much that the doors couldnt' open, so that was how I got out of the car. It took 2 hours with the cops, all the nieghbors, and lots of props used to try to get the front end off the ground. It was entertaining for the spectators. THERE IS VIDEO of when we finally pulled the car down, but I gotta get it from the neighbor.

As for damage, looks like I lost some brake lines (pre-crash), the booster and master cylinder, the subframe connectors are mangled, the cat was also smashed, and I'm worried that the driveshaft might have also been damaged right about the tranny.

Fun times.

Well...the thing is, I replaced the rear axle a few months back, and there were problems with the installation.

Long story short, no e-brake.

I'm not dumping shit into it...that's why it has sat more than driven in the last year. It sucks, but I have no choice but to keep this car for at least another 2 years.
