Mazda3/6 Opinons?
I'm considering selling my Tiburon due to some tranny problems for a more practical vehicle. Cost is an issue and the Mazda3 is pretty attractive for the cost. Has anyone heard and pros/cons? How is Mazda in terms of long term ownership?
I'm gonna consider the Mazda6 as well, but i believe it is beyond my price range since I'm hoping to return to school in the spring. Opinions on it are welcome as well.

Used is an option i guess. Main concern i have with a used car is that.. well. .it's used and was gotten rid of for a reason. I don't want someone's abused child to become my own -- more so i don't want someone else's problems to become my own. In the sports compact arena used cars have generally been abused IMO. A used BMW or maybe even a nice lookin Camaro or Mustang might be in better condition but beyond my price range.
Not to metion -- a lotta the used cars i look at (RSX, Celica, GTI) cost as much if not more than my Tiburon did brand new -- and often have less ammenities and much smaller warranties. I know though -- you get what you pay for (boy do i know)

I have a 6...love her, but actually want a 3 now. They are both excellent cars for the money...just watch out for that resale value if you're used to Honda/Toyota....but should be a step up from Hyundai. I would also suggest you go used as well, let someone else take that depreciation hit.

Just curious why you want a 3 over a 6?

To be honest -- i don't need to be racin this shit around. I do want something that is enjoyable to drive on a daily commute and I like out of the ordinary (hence the reason for my Tib, it was both of those).
I'll start a project car to really enjoy after i get my school finished up -- i have other things i should focus my money on ATM.

You can keep it totally stock, and it wont be the slowest car out there by far.
