Default Mazda 3

I will be looking for a new car in about mid summer and like the look of the new mazda 3, 5 door hatchback. Anyone test drove or heard good things about this car so far? I'm looking for a car with an aggressive stance and handling has to be a top priority. Plus I am trying to stay under 20k.

Mini version of my car = good.

Though it's kinda pricey with all the good stuff added.

Yeah, i've never drove a mazda shy of an fd. So I am wondering about the control and handling also the power. The 2.3L mazda 3 is supposed to produce 160hp with is about average for most n/a 4 cylinders now a days. However I also wonder about the weight to power ratio. Is that going to be enough to get me around or am I going to be tearing apart the motor shortly after to get more power?

what are you gonna do with the car? F/I? N2O? just some suspension basic bolt ons? I think they are great cars and you can get them with every option for under $20k out the door. The platform will be well supported considering it will be used on the new focus and a volvo. The cars are very confortable and have a sporty ride from the factory. I'm sure with some suspension work and bolt ons, they will be a great car.

Thats what I was hoping for. All I would do for a while would be suspension work. It will be my daily driver and I have my talon that I am building for running. I guess I really just need to head out this week and take one for a spin.

Thats why volvo got rid of the 168 hp inline 4 for the 225hp inline 5 in the s40. To slow for the platform.

They are not really big. I went to look at one last night and really liked the size of it. They are about the same size as a new civic hatch and they are smaller than a matrix. I am going to try and get out to test drive one this week. Overall when I saw it last night. I think it was a really nice car.
