Default Mass Air Flow Sensor?

Really debating on getting a new maf sensor for my 05 silverado 5.3L, but dontk now if im gonna drop the $400 and wish i hadnt. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

No reason, its just the last cheap performance mod I dont have lol.

You can get a little power if your stock MAF is maxed out and you go to a bigger one but it's not worth the hassle

I am ignorant when it comes to modern Chevys.. Does the maf get maxed out doing just "cheap performance" mods (I am assuming no internal or forced induction).

Don't waste your money. You WILL have to have it tuned and you will pick up next to nothing unless you are making enough power that the stock MAF is the intake side bottle neck. Save a bit more money and buy a cam and the appropriate supporting modifications (including tune) and you will be much happier.

Thought about a cam, but I wasent sure if it would be practical since I tow and hual ocasionaly.
