Looking at a new car, suggestion
I am looking to spend about 12-15K for a used car. Been looking at like 97-98 Mercedes and BMW's any other suggestions? and would it be possible to find a WRX turbo for that price?

Re: Looking at a new car, suggestion
If I had that kind of money, this is what I'd look at....
Euro:
95 M3: RWD, fast, professional, does it all
JDM Supercars:
Late model 300zx TT: Older look, but very fast, RWD hotness
93-95 RX7: Sexy cars, $$$$, motors that melt after 40k, rotor head needed
91-99 3kGT vr4s - very stable going very fast
Turbo AWDs:
Early WRX: newer, harder to find at 12-15k price range
97-99 GSX: very easy to make go fast, AWD launches
Drift:
SR20 240: Total project/ drift car -- most kinda ruff around the edges
Honda relyability:
ITR: Prolly wouldn't do FWD again, but great cars
97-01 Lude: same as above
I'd shoot for the M3 if it was me. I've always thought those cars are perfect. Its got RWD goodness, and is at home on the track or at a stoplight. You can easily pick up your girl in, and bring 3 of her friends along too. The M will get the nod from your boys, and even your boss at work. The Perfect do it all car. Nothing can compair.

thanks alot for the help dsmSypder, and yea the M3 is always a car that i have loved, the only thing that i was worried about was it might be dogged or really high mileage for a benz and i'm not sure what mileage the mercedades engines uphold and it would be great to pick up the ladies in an m3

Re: Looking at a new car, suggestion
Lots of M3 friendly shops and people in Nova area. Motor Trend has an article on buying a used M3, check online for it.

Hope that helps. Alot of those cars have been beat on, but you should be able to find a prestine 60k mile 95 for less $15k fairly easily.
