02ish - Vulvo S40/S60

01-02 3.2CL Type S

03ish V6 Altima

04ish Mazda 6

02-04 Impreza (WRX if you get a grood dealzor)

GS300 like Dave said - but for 10k, you'll only be able to get like a '99 with a shit-ton of miles. ES300 would be more in your budget, but lets get serious, it's a fucking Camry.

Do you prefer coupe or sedan (cheaper on insurance).

If your looking for a coupe try
prelude (not roomy but pretty decent car and very relaible)
240sx (same as prelude)
lexus sc300/sc400 (again not roomy but decent power and pretty nice)
eclipse (same as prelude just a bit more maintenance, no offence to eclipse owners)

for sedans
mazda 6 (i love em, decent power and not very exp)
mazda 3 (same as above)
wrx (the 99/00 models arn't too exp)
SVT focus (decent power but not enough for me lol)
SVT contour (pretty good car, i almost bought one)
GTI (an older one like a vr6)

sorry im kinda biased towards imports, these are my opinions please dont bash them.
ive had an eclipse(GSX) and i currently drive a prelude(99 sh)
both handle well and pretty powerful. all i can say is go and test drive them out. It doesn't hurt, i would also recommend a miata. A member on this board named Blackout showed me the light with that car, im prolly gonna buy one soon enough(if you dont mind the bitch car comments lol)

If you decide to go the Subaru route, Id say 2.5 rs over a WRX. The The 00 01 gc's are reliable. But I only like them in the 2 door. Like spic said, Volvo s40/s60. My mom has an s80 and I fucking love driving it.

FWIW, I've driven both, and I'd pay twice as much for an S60. S40's are.. an aquired taste? or something along those lines. Some people love them, I despised it.

Ricky, look under yer user name, newb.
