lend me your ear dragva, decision making time: new car
ok, so it's president's day this weekend, and after yet another long trip to and from virginia beach i realize that my 04 mazda3 has nearly 44000 miles and is just about out of warranty. i still owe 16.5k on this car, and the trade-in value is 14.5k (private party 16.5k, but i don't think i have the patience to sell it outright). so i'm thinking i can just trade this car in and get another new car with a fresh warranty and the chance to start all over again with keeping the miles down to maintain the factory warranty. also keep in mind that i will be moving to virginia beach in a month, so no more back and forth trips to maryland every other weekend to rack up miles.
so i was looking into some new cars, and i think i've locked onto the scion xB. i love the mazda, but for the same price as a new mazda3 5-door s i can get the scion with a butt-ton of accessories (including the nice 18inch trd wheels). but i'm still very open to suggestions. i need the price to stay within ~18k, needs 4 doors and decent gas mileage. suggestions are welcome.
the car is going to be the wife's primary vehicle, but i honestly drive the mazda more than my 240 right now so...

In my opinion I would rather Own the Mazda3. The Xb just reminds me of a toaster, And I think you would have ALOT more fun with the Mazda3 5 speed. Just my opinion

I would say go with the XB since its going to be the wifes daily. I would then say put whatever mods you wanted to get with it and make it a little your style for when you wanted to take it out for awhile. Just get a car you can make how you want it and just have fun with it.

New Civic is ugly, and if he can't afford a 3, he sure as hell won't afford a Civic. Hell you can get a Civic up to $26k now days. LMAO.
